2008 ALLSTATE® MEXICAN NATIONAL TEAM SWEEPSTAKES

“OFFICIAL RULES”

 NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  PURCHASE DOES NOT ENHANCE A PERSON’S CHANCE OF WINNING.  

1. ELIGIBILITY: Allstate® Mexican National Team Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.  Employees, officers, directors and agents of Allstate Insurance Company (“Sponsor”), Octagon, Inc. (“Administrator”) and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, successors, assignees, and affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and persons providing support services to any sales agent (whether employed or not), and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings and children, and each of their spouses, regardless of where they live) and persons living in the households of each of these individuals, at least three (3) months per year whether related or not, are ineligible to enter or win a prize.  Void in Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited by law.  By participating in Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.  Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.  

2. Timing: The Sweepstakes begins on April 16, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.  Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on September 24, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. PT (the "Sweepstakes Period"). 

3. HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: To enter either (i) visit the Allstate gazebos at the Futbol Fiesta of 2008 games in the USA and various community events during operating hours to complete a Sweepstakes entry form (For a complete list of locations to enter please visit www.eltricolor.com);or  

(ii) visit www.eltricolor.com and complete and submit the official entry form.

On-line entries must be received by 7:30 p.m. PT on September 24, 2008 to be eligible.

Limit one (1) entry per person/email address for the duration of the Sweepstakes Period. Multiple entries received from any person or e-mail address after the first entry received from that person or email address will be void.  Opt-in opportunities will follow, but are NOT required to enter the Sweepstakes, and checking the opt-in boxes will not improve your chances of winning.  All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified.

SWEEPSTAKES DRAWINGS: A random drawing will be conducted from eligible entries received during Sweepstakes Period after 7:31 PT on September 24, 2008 to determine the potential winners.  Potential winners shall be notified on or by September 26^th, 2008 by phone, and/or e-mail.  If any potential winner cannot be contacted within twenty-four (24) hours following the first attempt at notification, the potential winner forfeits prize and another name will be randomly drawn from all remaining eligible entries.  In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason or elects not to accept a prize, Sponsor may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.  A potential winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Any potential Sweepstakes winner is subject to verification by Sponsor or Administrator. Odds of winning will be determined based on the number of participants who register for the Sweepstakes.  

6. Verification of Potential Winners: The potential Sweepstakes prize winners are subject to verification by Sponsor or Administrator.  A participant is not a winner of the prize unless and until their eligibility has been verified and participant has been notified that verification is complete.

Potential winners may be required to execute and return a prize acceptance form, affidavits of eligibility, tax acknowledgment forms, liability releases and except where prohibited by law, a publicity release (“Winner Documents”) within seven (7) days of issuance prior to receipt of any prize. Failure of the potential winner to complete and submit the Winner Documents within the specified time period, if the Winner Documents are returned as undeliverable or if the potential winner is found ineligible or noncompliance with these Official Rules, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected in Sponsor’s discretion.

Odds of winning Sweepstakes depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.   

7. Prizes:  Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded during the Sweepstakes Period. The Grand Prize will consist of:  A trip for Grand Prize winner and one (1) guest to Miami, FL for the live taping of a sports show (“Show”) on the date of the taping (TBD) which includes: (i) roundtrip coach-class air transportation from a major U.S. gateway airport nearest Grand Prize Winner’s residence (as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion) to Miami, FL (ii) two (2) nights standard hotel accommodations  (one (1) room; double occupancy) (room rate and tax only), (iii) two (2) tickets to the live taping of the show and (iii) five hundred dollars ($500) spending money.   The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $4,000. 

Actual value or prizes may vary depending on city of departure.  If the Winner resides within a 100-mile radius of Miami, FL, Sponsor reserves the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of air transportation and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value.  Travel companions must execute liability/publicity releases.  Travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor’s agent, on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice.  Grand Prize Winner and guests may extend their stay at their own expense.  The specific sports show will be determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion.  Travel must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to Grand Prize Winner.  If the Grand Prize Winner cannot travel on designated dates, an alternate winner will be determined by random drawing from all remaining eligible entries. Certain travel restrictions may apply.  Grand Prize Winner is solely responsible for all expenses, costs or fees associated with acceptance and/or use of the prize not specified herein as being awarded including, without limitation, any and all taxes, meals, gratuities, extended stay and souvenirs.  Grand Prize Winner and guests must comply with all Show taping rules and regulations.  Sponsor makes no guarantee as to the location of the seats for the taping of the Show.  Sponsor is not responsible for lost or mutilated tickets and none will be replaced. Sponsor is not responsible for postponement or cancellation of the Show.   

First Prize: Five (5) First Prizes will be awarded during the Sweepstakes Period.  Each First Prize will be an item autographed by member(s) of the Mexican National Team.  The item and the autograph(s) will in the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The ARV of each First Prize is $80. 

Total ARV of all prizes is $4,400.

Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor.  Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value.  All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.  All prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any listed prize or prize component for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.  Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use, if applicable. Winners must provide Sponsor with a Security or Tax Identification Number and shall receive a tax reporting statement.  

7. General CONDITIONS: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, illegible entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, email or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any Sweepstakes-related materials.  Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes,  Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any persons computer relating from participating in this Sweepstakes.  Should any portion of this Sweepstakes be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof).   

Entrants, by participating, agree that Sponsor, Octagon, Inc., and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Sweepstakes, or any travel/activity associated herewith.  Sweepstakes materials are automatically void if counterfeited, mutilated, forged, altered or tampered with in any way, if illegible, mechanically reproduced, obtained outside authorized legitimate channels or if they contain printing, production, typographical, mechanical, or other errors.  ANY PERSON ATTEMPTING TO FORGE SWEEPSTAKES MATERIALS OR TO DEFRAUD SPONSOR IN ANY WAY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.  Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) at any time, if it determines that for any reason the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) cannot be run as originally planned or if fraud or any other occurrence compromises the fairness or integrity of the Sweepstakes.   

Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without any further compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law.  Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Sweepstakes, attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices, or intend to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor’s representatives or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void.   

In the event Sponsor is prevented from awarding a prize or continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man made epidemic of health or other means, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal state or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis (e.g. SARS), order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each, a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the such portion of the Sweepstakes.

10. WINNERS LIST: For the names of the winners (available after November 30, 2008), send a self-addressed, postage stamped envelope to: 2008 Allstate® Mexican National Team Sweepstakes, c/o Octagon, Inc., 800 Connecticut Avenue – 2 East, Norwalk, CT 06854 by December 20, 2008.  VT residents omit postage.
